The Word Processing class is a course required for students to pass to graduate from Cut Bank High School. The students work to improve keyboarding speed and accuracy, develop primary proficiency with a variety of programs currently used in the business world today - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Front Page , and others as time allows - as well as developing letter writing, report writing, and computer skills that are required to obtain and maintain a postion as a productive employee or business owner. There is very little homework assigned outside of class because the students need the programs and templates to complete the assignments. The computer lab is open in the morning before class, at noon, and after school for students who have assignments that need to be completed due to absences. Students who need to use the lab to make up work need to make arrangements with Mr. Grinder. |

| Since the work assigned must be completed in the computer lab, how do students keep caught up on their assignments? | Mr. Grinder will work with students to try and find time for them to be in the computer lab to catch up on missed assignments. The lab is usually open before school, at noon, and after school. Students should ask if the lab will be open before they come. If Mr. Grinder has a meeting or will be out of the district, he will let students know so they do not show up to work and find the lab closed. Scheduling time to finish missed assignments is the student's responsibility. |
